2024 404,958 (record) Not given in the release we used Mexico GP (CIE)

How many people go on race day?

In 2025, 153,867 people were at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on Sunday, the day of the Grand Prix itself, per the promoter’s race report. That leaves 247,459 across Friday and Saturday combined. If you’re going on Sunday, you’re in the biggest crowd of the weekend, so build in extra time for the Metro and the gates.

Is attendance going up or down?

It has held at about 400,000. The 2024 race set the record at 404,958 fans, and 2025 came in 3,632 lower at 401,326, still above 400,000 for a second year running. The promoter has not published a 2026 figure, since the race hasn’t been run yet; we’ll add it once it does.

Does the number count people or tickets?

The promoter reports a combined three-day count of entries (“entrada”), not unique visitors. A fan with a three-day ticket who goes every day is likely counted each day, so the number of different people is lower than 401,326. CIE doesn’t publish a unique-visitor figure, and we couldn’t find one from an independent source.

What does a crowd this size mean for your weekend?

How much money does the Grand Prix bring to Mexico?

For 2025 the promoter puts it at MXN 19,840 million. That splits into MXN 6,715 million of direct spending and MXN 13,125 million of media exposure, and the event supported 10,649 jobs. These figures come from studies by AECOM and Formula Money that CIE commissioned, so read them as the organizer’s numbers, not an independent audit.

How long will F1 race in Mexico City?

At least through 2028. In April 2025 CIE, Formula 1 and the Mexico City government agreed a three-year extension covering the 2026, 2027 and 2028 races. For this year’s dates, sessions and tickets, see the 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix page.
