    Is this the Baja 1000 course map?

    No. SCORE has not published the 2026 course map. This map shows only what SCORE has confirmed: that the race starts and finishes in San José del Cabo, and the seven towns its Aug 13, 2026 race preview says the course will “pass through or near”. We haven’t drawn a route between them because nobody outside SCORE knows it yet. When SCORE releases the official course, we’ll add it here.

    Where can I watch the Baja 1000?

    SCORE hasn’t named spectator areas for 2026. Until it does, use our Baja 1000 spectator guide for SCORE’s safety rules and how to follow the race on live GPS tracking. Watching from the roadside is free; no ticket is sold for it.

    How far north does the course go?

    Loreto is the northernmost town SCORE named, most of the way up Baja California Sur. With Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo at the southern tip, the course covers a large part of the state, which SCORE describes as roughly 1,000 miles in total.

    Do I need a vehicle permit to drive there?

    Not in Baja California Sur, which is a hassle-free zone for foreign vehicles.
