Why is the Baja 1000 starting in Los Cabos in 2026?

After decades based in Ensenada, the Baja 1000 starts and finishes in Los Cabos for 2026. Trophy Trucks, Class 1 buggies, UTVs, motorcycles and quads will race one loop through the rugged interior of Baja California Sur. The move is good news for American fans: Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) has nonstop service from dozens of US cities, and there are resort towns to base yourself in.
