How the Chase Works
- The top 10 in points after the 8-race regular season qualified. A win does not guarantee a place.
- Points were reset by seed: 2,015 for 1st, 2,012 for 2nd, 2,009 for 3rd, 2,006 for 4th, then 2,005 down to 2,000 for 5th through 10th.
- There are no eliminations. Points accumulate across the four Chase races, and the highest total after the Mexico City finale is champion.
