The NASCAR Mexico Series is where Mexico’s stock car stars are made. Daniel Suárez came up through it before winning the 2016 Xfinity title and three NASCAR Cup races. The series runs about 400-horsepower V8 stock cars on ovals and road courses across the country. Races are affordable, the paddock is accessible and the racing is close. How the Chase Works
The top 10 drivers in points after the 8-race regular season qualify for the Chase. A race win doesn’t guarantee a spot. Points are then reset: the leader starts on 2,015, 2nd on 2,012, 3rd on 2,009, 4th on 2,006, and 5th through 10th on 2,005 down to 2,000. There are no eliminations. Points add up over the four Chase races, and the driver with the most after the Mexico City finale is champion.

The Cars
NASCAR Mexico Series cars use 5.7-liter (350 cu in) naturally aspirated V8s making about 400 hp, with 4-speed manual gearboxes and a minimum weight of about 2,680 lb, running on General Tire slicks. Support races include the development-tier Challenge Series and a truck series.

Tickets
NASCAR Mexico is one of the best-value tickets in motorsport. 2026 Aguascalientes tickets are MX$250 (about US$15), and the Yucatán doubleheader is MX$750 plus fees for both days, with children 6 and under free. Tickets for the Mexico City finale haven’t been announced yet. We’ll add them to the finale event page as soon as they go on sale. The finale falls one week after the Mexico City Grand Prix at the same track, so it’s easy to see both.
Mexican Drivers in NASCAR’s US Series
- Daniel Suárez drives the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet in the 2026 Cup Series. He has three Cup wins (Sonoma 2022, Atlanta 2024 and the 2026 Coca-Cola 600) and won the 2016 Xfinity Series title.
- Andrés Pérez de Lara runs the full 2026 Truck Series schedule in the No. 44 Niece Motorsports Chevrolet.
