How do you add a Race.mx widget to your site?
Paste the widget’s div where you want it to appear, and the script tag once anywhere on the page. You can put several widgets on one page with a single script tag. It works on any site that lets you add custom HTML with a script, and the widgets pick up your site’s font and text color.
Race countdown
Counts down the days to the next race in a series, then switches to “Race week” while it’s on. Use data-series and it rolls over to next year’s race automatically once it’s on the calendar. During race week it switches to counting down to the next specific session — qualifying, then the race — and lists the full session schedule in your own time zone, where we have session times.

A single full-width strip for the top of a page or a sidebar: the countdown, the race name, its dates and venue, and — once the series has published it — the race start converted to your reader’s own time zone. Filter it with data-series or pin it to one race with data-event, like the countdown box.

FAQ
Are the Race.mx widgets free?
Yes. They are free to use on any site, including commercial ones, under CC BY 4.0. The only condition is keeping the “Data via Race.mx” credit that the widget shows.
Do the widgets update by themselves?
Yes. Each widget reads the live Race.mx data every time the page loads, so when a race is added, moved or cancelled, your widget reflects it without you changing anything.
Will a widget slow down my site?
The script is about 16 KB and loads asynchronously, so it doesn’t hold up the rest of your page. Several widgets on one page share a single copy of the script and the data.
Can I get the raw data instead?
Yes. The calendar, track, winners and full winners history data are published as JSON and CSV on our open data page, along with a subscribable calendar feed.
